Is NMIC crit rolling an exploit?

I run a midlevel raiding guild, and my one affliciton raiding warlock uses this 5 man trinket to bloat his corruption crit %'s. Apparently the nerf to haste stacking on corruption, did not effect the crit portion stacking and he ends up with 60% crit on his corruption.

Is this an intended effect similar to SWP with shadowpriests... or should I tell him to stop using this trinket?

We can use all the dps we can get to defeat Festergut this week, but don't want to have our warlock exploit the mechanic to help out in this way.

Blizz what is your stance on this trinket and the corruption crit rolling mechanic?

I don't think either haste not crit qualify as an "exploit." That word implies you are somehow abusing mechanics so bad that you risk some kind of punitive reaction on our part. Usually if we don't like how a class is working we'll just fix the mechanics and not blame players for it.

In any case, haste provided a huge damage boost and was hard to fix. Crit provides a moderate damage boost and is hard to fix. So we probably won't be changing the way rolling crit works any time soon. You can use it without fear of ramifications from us. :)
