My question is just how long will an account restoration investigation usually take. Say's a few days but that can be very misleading in a few can be 2-3 5-6 etc based on opinion. And ya that's pretty much it.
Im asking cause i'd like to know when i can basically play again since hunter with no ranged weapon = cant do anything.

That depends on the number of requests that are currently in queue and on the complexity of not only your investigation but the others before you.

Current times have dropped but it still still likely be 5-7 days minimum.

I am would like to know if it is okay to carry on playing or should we just sit around and wait.

That depends on your situation. Normally you may play on any character on the account while the investigation is ongoing, it will not negatively impact the investigation process. It is recommended that if a character was transferred, race or faction changed during the compromise that you say off of that character though. If we are able to verify that the transaction took place during the compromise we will try to reverse the process, thus returning the character to how it was before the service was initiated. If you play on the transferred character any progress before the reversal will be lost.

Q u o t e:
this post seems misleading to say the least. 5-7 days is what it takes to get a respose to an in game ticket.

I don't believe my post to be misleading at all, Saritha. When you submitted a petition on the 24th of last month queue times were much higher than they are now.

Queue times for a standard Game Master response at the moment is around 24 hours.

I did however recieve my soulbound gear and weapons the next day. Perhaps mine is taking longer because it involved 8 characters and 3 guild banks.

Which is why I also stated that it can depend on the complexity of your investigation. They still have your case, Saritha, hopefully you will be contacted in the next day or so.
