Greetings all,

As many of you are aware several realms in the Bloodlust Battlegroup are currently experiencing an increase in latency. Our Realm Technicians are very much aware of these reports and they are investigating the matter.

Please note that this thread will be used to consolidate all other reports from the Bloodlust Battlegroup. This would be the following realms:

Aman'Thul
Barthilas
Blackrock
Caelestrasz
Dath'Remar
Dreadmaul
Frostmourne
Frostwolf
Khaz'goroth
Kil'Jaeden
Kilrogg
Nagrand
Ner'zhul
Proudmoore
Sen'jin
Silver Hand
Thaurissan
Tichondrius
Vek'nilash

We will provide what updates we are able to as they work to resolve the issue. Although we understand the frustration this issue has caused we ask that you please keep your posts civil and constructive. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Update: 8:30 PM PST

I just wanted to provide an update which was just posted in the Service Status forum. For those of you concerned that we are simply waiting until 3am.

Greetings all,

For an update on this issue, we are aware of the continuing issues on this Battlegroup. Our database developers are in the process of investigating the issue to see if a more immediate solution can be found. We will keep you posted.

In the meantime, the restarts posted above are still scheduled to occur. Should that change we will update this thread.

Need us to chime in with the areas of lag or no need? <3

We don't need specifics at this time, Alvraen, but thank you.

I don't think it is just that battlegroup... I was on and got high lag and now every time I log in a get D/C right away.. more then 10 plus times in a row now

It seems you have a stuck character, Nagdand, that is completely unrelated to the issue at hand. You will want to submit an in-game petition from an alternate character, make sure you list the name and realm of the character that is stuck and also include that you are stuck and keep disconnecting when trying to log in.

Q u o t e:
If the servers needed a part that wouldn't be available till 3am, I could understand, but delaying a 15 minute restart for 7 hours, from a tech support/customer service/IT stand, is ridiculous.

You may have missed a response, Seranna. :)

Q u o t e:
A corporation wouldn't postpone server maintenance for anything... they'd have it fixed ASAP, no matter what time it happens (been called to fix servers at 2 am, well beyond the "normal operation hours" of the business).

That is not true, if an issue is causing an inconvenience for 1,000 customers and the resolution to the issue would inconvenience 40,0000 it is likely that a company would decide to put off implementing the resolution until a more convenience time when less people are likely to be affected.

As stated in my update though our DBA's continue to look int the matter in an effort to resolve the issue.

If you include the appropriate information in your petition, Geekbaka, one of our Game Masters will get to you as quickly as possible. Our staff keeps an eye out for such issues and if you include keywords such as "disconnect" or "stuck" in your petition it will help us find and resolve your issue faster.
Q u o t e:

Was curious if resolution on these kind of issues are taking 2-4 days like other tickets.

Overall petition times are around 24 hours at the moment. :)

Sounds good. One other question. If I were to log out, could they rez me or otherwise fix the issue? Or would I need to be in-game?

Thanks.

You don't need to remain online for assistance, as long as you include enough information in the petition we can address your petition even when you are offline.

Q u o t e:
Hey, I'm curious.. where exactly do you blizzard people get your nifty little animated avatars

Our Avatars were created for us when we were given the forum position. Well, shortly after we got the job, mine took a few weeks before it could be completed. :)

As an update folks it looks like they may have found the cause of the issue and have made some adjustments.

It appears that the Kilrogg and Proudmoore issues have been resolved and latency on Bloodlust realms should be much better now. Please let me know if you have noticed any improvement.
