Sometimes it is necessary to do so, Murannan, even if it is starting on prime time. If it was necessary to do so and we decided to wait until the early hours and the realms went down unexpectedly you would see a very high number of players here saying "I don't care if you take the realms down all day, just fix the issue".
You can't have it both ways.

It was stated yesterday as a matter of fact, Psychodruid. Realms go offline from time to time, I have been here trying to provide what updates I can when that happens. We have, in the past, had several occurrences where the realm goes offline several times a day. In such cases that is actually what is said and agreed upon by many.

No, Vederal, if something like that was happening it would be happening on every realm, not just one set. Rumours like this fly around because people have nothing better to do then make stuff up.
