Fastest Way To Deal With Chargeback?

Hey,

So I quit WoW last July after my account kept getting hacked and I was getting ready to go to college and figured I wouldn't have the time to play much anymore especially with my computer getting hacked every other day. Last I knew of my account it was banned and under investigation but I had had it and just stopped paying attention. Fast forward to now, got a new PC that is spyware-clean and switching from university to community college and I will have a lot more time with my schedule so I started playing WoW again. Bought this account, but I want to get my old account back.

Here's the deal, I got access to my account again, reset password, linked to battle.net account and all so the account is under my control now. I lost some money and a little gear but i was a fresh 80 so this isn't really an issue to me. I called billing 2 weeks ago on Monday and they said they would look into it and I'd probably get an email by that Friday (new year's day). Didn't get an email, so I called again last thursday. I realized then that the reason for the ban was a chargeback which occurred when the account was hacked, most likely with a stolen credit card by a gold farmer or w/e.

Now, I don't care even about paying the $16.30 they want. The chargeback was while the account was compromised, but I just want my account back as fast as possible so I don't mind paying. I send a money order on friday, but I'm now reading into this and 90% of what I see online is that everyone's experience was waiting weeks before it was processed. I really do not want to wait a month to play, especially with all the time free right now before school starts again in a few weeks. I also read that they might have changed their policy in the past couple days to now accept credit cards over the phone to pay the chargeback. I am probably going to try to call tomorrow and see if they can fix it over the phone but if not, would it be faster to tell them what actually happened (which could lead to an investigation that could take a week or 2) or should i just wait for the money order to get there and hope it's processed in the next few days? Anyone have experience with this? And also can anyone else verify that you can use a credit card to pay off the chargeback as that seems like the fastest way to fix this in my opinion. Thanks

P.S. This is what someone posted in another thread that they got in an email which would make it seem like a credit card may work...

Access to the World of Warcraft account *******, has been temporarily disabled due to a dispute filed against the account's past payments. This dispute was filed by the bank, credit card provider, or financial institution associated with the payment on the account. As a result of this dispute, funds paid on the account were withdrawn from Blizzard Entertainment. This is known as a "chargeback".

The total withdrawn by this chargeback was: $41.97.

The account is now considered by Blizzard to have a negative balance, and will be unavailable for play until any and ALL outstanding balances have been repaid to Blizzard.

Repayment can be made by contacting our Billing department at 1-800-592-5499.

If you are unable to contact Billing by phone and wish to inquire about repayment via a money order, please contact billing@blizzard.com requesting that they send money order repayment information.

Until the amount which was withdrawn from the chargeback is repaid, the World of Warcraft account will remain indefinitely unplayable. Please do not reply to this email, as you will receive no further response.

Thank you for your time.

Unfortunately, Almost, if we are unable to verify that the charged took place during the compromise we may not be able to remove the chargeback from the account. At least without having the balance settled.

If that is not an issue and you have a credit card available you may want to contact our Billing and Account Services department directly during business hours.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) 8AM-8PM (PST) for live representation.

Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.
