Now,

I don't know about you guys, but and epic quest item, that leads to a legendary item, should fall under a safer looting system than fastest finger first.

Even though the item is ONE per boss and of epic quality, it can be looted immediately by anyone on the quest line.

Most guilds, mine included, have decided on someone to receive these quest items first. In my guild, I am that person. However, due to some auto-looting to check what dropped, the item is in the wrong person's hands.

I have a ticket open in game;

Long story short, quest items can't be traded, it also couldn't be master looted, it went to Allurai, but it should have gone to me.

He will verify this.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Update***

It turns out Allurai was the only one eligible to loot this item and the one from Rotface?

I have the quest.

I have 25/25 Primordial Saronite.

I have 1/1 Light's Vengeance.

We're looking into this matter currently, Patrol. I do apologize that it at all inconvenienced your raid group, though.

In the meantime, here's what I recently told another player in a similar position:
Q u o t e:
I'm unable to provide any form of guarantee that such an item transfer will occur, Slaire, but the transfer itself is possible. If all the appropriate conditions are met, we'll be happy to assist.

Now, if the current owner of the item did not petition in, go ahead and have him or her do so now. Within his/her petition, have the following information included:

    - Full name of the item
    - Confirmation of which boss it dropped from
    - Date and approximate time (do the best you can) that it dropped
    - Name and realm of the intended recipient

Good luck!

Go ahead and have Allurai open a petition with the above information included. We'll happily look into the transfer request and assist in any way that we are able. :)

It seems the response to the first petition you submitted, Patrol, informed you that we must receive the request from the person who has the items.

Your second petition was simply "Check X's petition". I show that a response was sent to you but since I am unable to view the message it seems that perhaps you didn't get it. Essentially it would have said that we will address any petition submitted from another account in the order it was received.
Q u o t e:

I must say, that i am disappointed.

You guys thought it was important enough to hotfix, but it feels like not much help is being offered to resolve that which occurred beforehand.

Assistance is being provided based on the requests, Patrol, unless Allurai asks for additional details though I will be unable to go into specifics.
Q u o t e:

I could open another ticket at this point, but my guild mate (the recipient) is in the process of opening ticket #5 collectively. It really feels like if a GM had either taken some time to properly assess the issue in context or at least spoken to either of us face to face, this could have been resolved days ago.

Talking to you about a request you were not in a position to make wouldn't have been done. You were provided with the information appropriate to your request.

We would have spoken to the party with items if they were online when we addressed the petition.

Q u o t e:

Patrol is fair angry, I has another GM ticket in now.

I had not originally seen this response.

That is great to hear, Allurai, but to clarify. The petition you have in now should be a response to our request for additional information. I hope you did not close out the petition we addressed and opened a new one.

We recently made changes to how petitions are addressed so that if the issue is not fully resolved or we require more information and were unable to speak with you when you were online that you can select the "Need More Help" option which will be placed in a special queue. It looks like we requested additional information a couple days ago.

I can confirm that you have submitted a petition with the information needed. Someone will get to it as quickly as possible.

Good luck.

That is strange as I can see that both items were sent but I can confirm only one arriving. I'll see if I can nudge that along. O.o
