I'm not allowed in HoR anymore? :|

So I'm playing my shadow priest. He's only got ~16 hours /played at 80, so his gear isn't fantabulous, but he's got almost full epics now and I queued up yesterday for heroic Halls of Reflection and did it. Today however it says I need better gear, even though I've actually gotten better gear since yesterday when I did it.

What gives?

Due to the issues we continued to see with the heroic version of this dungeon, we increased the minimum gear average needed to go through it a bit. We posted about this here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=22418851790&sid=1

On top of the gear requirement we have just made a few changes to the ghost waves that will make the dungeon a bit easier.

For one day (just one) ... I would like the Dungeon Tool to randomly assign 25 noobs to pre-nerf Mu'ru just so they understand how easy things are now ...

Taking things to the extreme is never a really good representation of what is really happening. The changes were meant to take out some of the issues that were more randomness than anything. "The ghost waves at the beginning of both normal and heroic Halls of Reflection have undergone several changes that should make them easier to defeat such as preventing 2 mages or 2 mercenaries from spawning in the 5 mob pulls, a shorter duration of the spectral footman’s shield bash, and the spectral mage’s flamestrike having a longer cast time, shorter duration, and (in heroic) doing less damage."

Why the nerf?? It wasn't hard to begin with. All it took was people knowing their class and using CC where appropriate to help control the situation.

Ahh well, I can agree with mages and 2 mercs/mages being pulled. They can make things get hectic quite quickly since people (or the PuGs I have been with) love to kill the footman first, then the Rifleman while leaving the priests, mages, and mercs alone. I think what H HoR really needed was an intelligence check more than anything.


So from someone who has run the dungeon a bit the nerfs make some sense.

Based on my experience in this dungeon the changes will help avoid some of the crazy spike issues like a tank getting double stunned while a healer is bashed for 6 seconds, that type of thing.
