Now, I have only once initiated a vote kick. It was ignored.
We were in heroic violet hold and the tank, after the very first pull, starts in with his holier than thou "god, you people suck, I'm better than you. You all need to find a new hobby. You're all pathetic." etc.
A necklace dropped and I greeded it. He exclaims "oh wtf!" So, being the kind soul I am, I asked him if he needed it, fully intending to hand it over.
His response: "look at my HP. Does it look like I effin need it?"
So I asked him if it was entirely necessary for him to be a total @@#%. He continued to berate us for our crappy DPS, which honestly was above fine for a heroic. So I attempted to vote kick him. I don't care if you are the tank, the healer or whatever. I don't care that you have god mode gear. There is no excuse to be a complete douchebag to people for no reason. I attempted to kick him several times and was voted down every time because people were too afraid to lose the tank.
He was the one time I ever tried to kick someone (other than clicking yes when someone disconnects and doesn't come back) and he is the one person on my LFD ignore list.
So, what does it take to make you initiate a kick?
Are you like me and don't cae if someone's DPS is sub-par as long as they are trying? Or do you vote kick anyone that doesn't meet your perceived elite standards?
