So Festergut was released this week, essentially the patchwerk of ICC, at least for melee. Our rogues pulled over 12k+ dps in mostly ToC gear with some ICC pieces,
over 2k dps higher than the next highest class dps wise. How is this fair? Their dmg went up higher in a single patch than any other classes has this expansion, and with how well we all know that leather is itemized, and the fact that rogues are now bringing more utility to raids than several dps hybrid specs, how on earth is this justified and balanced? I understand the philosophy is to have pures be a bit above hybrids in dps (which honestly is a stupid concept given that rogues bring more utility to the raid than several hybrid specs (Fury warrior, Blood dk, and Frost dk to name a few who can only provide one buff that is already being covered 95% of the time).
Our rogues pulled over 2k more dps than the next highest class, that not even mentioning those that did ~9k. With the homogenization of many buffs and several hybrid specs only being able to offer a single raid buff that is almost always covered otherwise, the idea of bring the player not the class is far from being true. Why should I ever bring a Fury warrior to my raid over a rogue if I have a prot warrior to sunder and a feral druid? Why should I ever bring a Blood or Frost DK to my raid over a rogue when I have an enhance that shows up all of the time? And even if they didn't I'd rather have a healer respec than sit a rogue who can pull thousands of dps more than a fury war/blood/frost dk on any given fight.
