I love the new group finder. But because of it we cant have Master looter. And because of that we have Ninjas. I lost out on a Tank Chest piece to someone named [removed]on the Realm Altar of storms. The peice of armor is called Scourgelord's Frigid Chestplate. I'm sorry for bothering you, But I've ran P.o.S. one to many times to try to get that, only to have it stolen.

It wasn't stolen, Kypris, it was rolled on appropriately by one who qualified for it.

The item wasn't ninja'd, that simply isn't possible with this looting system. It actually isn't possible with any looting system in World of Warcraft but that is beside the point.

The fact of the matter is if you were able to Master Loot that person would be able to determine who is awarded what loot, you would have to abide by that decision.

The person was a Death Knight, thus they are able to wear plate, they assisted in the kill and therefore qualified to roll Need for that item. Their roll beat yours. Simple as that.

I'm sorry, Kypris, I understand that you may be frustrated and that the item would have been perfect for you but who wins an item is determined solely by the Need before Greed system. If you believe changes should be made to the Dungeon Finder system or even the looting system you are welcome to post in the Suggestion forum. Our developers and Community Managers read that forum frequently, and take into consideration all suggestions, even if they are unable to directly reply to them.

I was in this group; have a screen shot if it's needed. I'm tired of the ninja's from the group finder as well. :(

As stated, Numbskull, no ninjaing took place and such an act would be impossible with the looting mechanics in place.

Need before Greed only determines if the item is usable by the class, not by the spec. Anyone who is able to equip the item and could use the item may roll need on it (as long as it is for the main type of armor the class uses).

Really? So if it happened to you, would you act the same? I doubt it.

Would I be upset if someone rolled on an item that wouldn't be considered appropriate for the person's main spec? I wouldn't like it, I play under the belief that you should only need for main spec and greed for off spec but that isn't how the Need before Greed system works. The rules are, if you qualify for it you may roll on it.

I am amazed to hear someone lamenting the Master Looting system for the Dungeon Finder tool.

But if Ninja-ing is clearly un-doable with the new system, then why is it in ToC, a Hunter took a tanking trinket when someone else in the party obviously needed and could have used it?

Hunters don't need armor. And a Trinket with nothing but Stam is useless to a hunter. I know, its my main.

Hunters may not need Armor but that doesn't mean they can't use it and Stamina isn't "useless" to anyone. How someone else plays is up to them, if they qualify for the item they are able to roll on it.
