The reason I bring this question to the forums is because we have a guild on VeCo called [Removed]. It is sponsored by [removed]. For who don't know [removed] is a Neo-!#@% website/community based on the internet.

[Removed] has so far threatened to #@#@ a few females who are playing the game. They have gone out to collect the real life information of one or two horde players. They have been actively spreading hate filled messages in game, on the forums and in various channels.

A good many of us - roughly one hundred or so have been placing in tickets on various issues only to get blue walled by Blizzard.

I would like a clarification on this matter from Blizzard before I speak to the relevant authorities who deal with such issues.

The following response was written by one of our new teammates. Because they are still in training and do not yet possess a forum account of their own, they shall be posting via proxy through me.

This issue is currently being addressed by members of our in-game support staff, and all appropriate actions are being taken. Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention and reporting any possible harassment issues. In the future, please continue to report any harassment or inappropriate conduct via in-game petition or by sending an email to [email protected] and it will be addressed accordingly.

However, in all cases of reported harassment, no information will be given regarding the actions taken; as such information is considered confidential between the affected account and Blizzard.

It is also important to note that all concerns regarding harassment are investigated and addressed in an appropriate manner, not just those reports from those players threatening cancellation. All petitions are treated equally, no favoritism is shown towards those that threaten to cancel their account.

Finally, should you feel any threats made are credible, or could result in real-world consequences, I’d encourage you to contact your local law enforcement authorities regarding the matter. We will assist with their investigation in any way possible.

Thank you for your patience and vigilance in this matter.
