I'm not sure what you're seeing but all the contributing authors are credited toward the front of the magazine as well as at the end of some of the articles. Perhaps you missed these or feel these should be more visible?

Those who subscribe now should get the first issue still, but only for a little bit longer. (Unfortunately I don't have a specific time frame for you on for how much longer.)

It sucks too because there was a decent amount of damage done to it because it went through the mail system with no protection. Normally with a magazine I wouldn't care but this is more like a soft-cover coffee table book. I'm thinking of asking for a replacement but can't find the link on their support site. The FAQ says there should be one but I don't see it.

The magazine should have come in a protective bag, but in some few cases, that didn't happen.
