Death on boat = instant revive.

Apparently blizzard has gone even further to remove all vestiges of world pvp on pvp servers. My favorite thing to do used to be staking out the alliance boats. You can look down upon it, but this was the sort of thing that was supposed to occur on pvp servers. I created lasting memories not only for myself, but also for others. I brough a sense of danger and excitement to the world. Now its come to my attention that if someone dies on a boat, after the loading screen they will be instantly revived, thereby defeating the purpose. Its just another way that blizzard has catered to whiners and kiddies.

Most of the time its not even worth engaging in world pvp now, since the graveyards are so widespread that the person will be back at their corpse probably faster than it takes to regain hp.

You can still get your gank on. You can still annoy players of the opposing faction (particularly if you cause them to lose buffs which don't persist through death, or make them miss their transport). It was, however, problematic for players to be able to retrieve their corpses on moving transports. That's not something we necessarily intended.

I don't understand the logic that ganking/PvP isn't fun when you can't cause the maximum amount of grief possible by exploiting game mechanics.

Here come 5 pages of outraged posts saying that Zarhym just called all PvPers griefers, and this is why we can't have nice things.

Well, what you quoted was stated directly in the context of the original poster's concerns. I'm sure it won't be a problem though. I've never been quoted out of context before. =o
