The one that is paying attention to the group and not watching TV. :)

Ahh but Neth, riddle me this.

Assuming they both can heal as well, because that's balanced, which brings more utility to the group?

Both have fantastic utility. In some cases one may edge out the other depending on what a group or raid is going up against or what they need most. That doesn't necessarily mean that one class or the other is better or worse. It also depends on what the player behind the keyboard wants most out of their character and what they enjoy. I still contend that while there may be things that can always be improved, it comes down to the player and their own play style. If something doesn't suit you, it's not going to "feel" right.

thank you for admitting how boring it is to be a healer.

I wasn't saying it's boring. I'm saying, that in all my years of gaming, there is always that one person that you wish you could poke with a stick because they're too busy watching their favorite show at the same time as playing. Admit it. You multi-task too.

Never before has someone said so many words yet said so little.

You're new here aren't you? I've been accused of this before. Some people get plenty out of it. If you don't, that's fine. But, please don't derail the thread just to say you didn't get anything out of it.

neth, it's okay, to say something you don't like about the game. it's okay that we're discouraged from switching specs all the time but encouraged to play both pvp and pve. it's okay that there's a shortage of tanks and healing cause it's way to fun to play. just don't join match.com, that's not okay.

Sometimes, it's also OK not to take sides. ;) Sometimes, it's even OK to be OK with playing and enjoying things for what they are.

Online or non-online? ;) Non-online for about 26 years. Online about...15 or so.

I wonder what the consequences would be if a CM ever did make a post full of frank, unbiased criticism about some of the game's flaws.

We like to reserve those for internal discussion since we don't want our own opinions to be mistaken as company line or policy. Some things we can share. We also don't want to imply any particular biases within the community though. While we share some of our own insights and experiences with the game, we want the community to feel that we can put aside those experiences to look at things from their viewpoint if they have a concern. It's important to be able to do that. Just because we haven't had a certain experience doesn't mean someone in the community has an invalid concern. We walk a fine line and do our best.

Eth, there isn't much we can add to your thread. I've read it. I can bring up those points, but I don't have anything to add to it right now.

Neth should go into politic, she really knows how NOT to answer a question with lots of random arguments

No way. People are mean to politicians.
