Does Blizz keep my characters in some sort of

cryogenic sleep once my subscription expires later this month? Just curious as to how long they keep all of one's characters if their account isn't active. I plan on taking a extended hiatus from the game but if I ever get the itch to come back I sure as heck wouldn't want to start from scratch!

At this time we do not have any plans to delete accounts or characters, Lotto. If this happens to change whatsoever, we will definitely let our players know.
