Xp Block

You were misinformed when told you are restricted from joining a Battleground while blocking experience gained, Kniifed. The only thing that may be blocking you from entering is that there may be insufficient players to start a Battleground. There is no such restrictions place upon you by Blizzard, and as soon as there are enough players the BG will commence.
