I think I submitted a gm ticket a week or so ago to restore my 80 shaman I accidentally deleted. 2 days has always been the longest amount of time I've ever had to wait for a gm. And no, my ticket hasn't been escalated as I'm not looking for any gear to be restored or anything. Why is this taking so long?

Your petition was submitted 1 day 20 hours and 50 minutes ago, Dirtyhairy, I understand while waiting it can seem to take much longer then it actually has but I can't imagine where the other 5 days came from. :)

Why is this taking so long?

The queues are taking as long as they are, because there are a lot of people in front of you who also need assistance.

We are working through these queues as quickly as we can, unfortunately when there are issues that generate a good deal more petitions then normal our staff can't magically clone themselves to handle the extra.

Now that the majority of those issues have been resolved the queues should eventually return to a more normal quantity. Just leave your petition open, Drityhairy, our In-Game Support staff will get to your request as soon as they can.
Q u o t e:

This was last week. How can this be resolved in 2 hours and I'm at over a week and no response. Its the same que.

Well one, queue times fluctuate. Two: As I stated, the time frame you claimed originally is gravely incorrect.

Restorations are handled by specialists. They have a separate queue from the main ticket queue.

Not all restorations are done by our Character Specialist. They address some of the more complicated restoration procedures, they are part of the Investigation Team for account compromises, they address many of the boss loot and other item issues.

A standard restoration of an item or character (unless items were sold/deleted/disenchanted and you want those restored too) can usually be done by a standard Game Master. You still have to wait in queue though until they can get to your particular issue.

Compromise investigations are currently around 12 days, from start to finish.

Petition times are between 48-72 hours. This is why it is important to keep track of what Game Masters can and can not assist with.
