Random Heroic NOT random

This morning I get up and queue up for my frost badges heroic. Like every morning for the last week I get The Oculus (OC). Today I figure “what the hell, get it out of the way and then I’ll be saved and have less chance to get it again”, or so I thought. So clear OC then I run 2-4 other heroics on random and get random instancesâ€¦

Later this day I come home from work and sign up for a random heroic and getâ€¦ you guessed it.. OC. So I say to hell with it and quit, take the 15 min debuff and queue up again. OC againâ€¦ and again.. and 4 more times in total till I decide to come here and find out why I got The Oculus 5 times in a row, using the “random” tool, WHILE already being saved.

with the 15+ minute wait for a DPS to get a spot plus the 15 minute debuff its been 2 hours and i cant get any other heroic instance. If someone could take a quick gander at what may have caused this it would be much appreciated.

- Yes, it IS set on “Random Lich King Heroic”
- No I am not saved to ‘everything’ else (5-6 instance at most including OC)
- I don’t need rhetoric about probability; this is more than just 'chance'.

Sorry for resurrecting it (weeks later).

There are 16 heroics (not 12). You do NOT have an even chance of getting any of them. Some you need gear to qualify for (ToC and ICC heroics). Your role affects things too. And the popularity of the instance as well.

The OP got Oc way "too much". Well here's why: someone gets Oc, goes "damn" and leaves. Then the next person gets his spot and does the same.

Guess what?

You'll get Oc more if ppl in your bgrp do this.

Now that Oc has added rewards, perhaps that will be fixed (for a while at least).

I think this is a good stopping point for this thread.
