Every time I try to log on to WoW (game or website) on my own account (my friend is letting me post on this old account) it asks for a blizzard authenticator code. Sounds normal right? Cept for the fact I DONT HAVE AN AUTHENTICATOR.

Idk if anyone else is having this issue but its quite annoying not being able to do anything.

Q u o t e:
Please review the Account Compromise Info Center and Computer Security Recommendations threads, stickied at the top of this forum.

Follow the guidance in those threads word for word and step by step.

Those threads will walk you through:
- Finding the source of the compromise (which is CRITICAL, more on that in a sec),
- Resecuring your account, and
- Restoring your characters and gear.

It's absolutely critical that you find the source of your compromise and correct it. If you don't do so, the people that hijacked your account can and will hijack it again.

Don't hesitate for a moment to update this thread with questions as you review those two threads. They can be a bit daunting if you're unfamiliar with the information in them, but we'll be glad to lend you a hand. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

For convenience, here are some helpful links:

These threads do provide some very good security information, thank you for posting :)

Now, if an authenticator was added to your account without your authorization, contacting the Billing & Account Services department is the step to take towards getting it removed. You will want to make sure the computer being used is secure to avoid losing access again though.
