Won an item.. but not in inventory

Several days ago I ran a Heroic pug in Pit. The cloth chest dropped off the last boss and I rolled need on it. I was the only one who rolled need, and the chat log confirmed it. I won the item and then proceeded to leave the instance only to find that the item did not appear in my inventory. I put in a ticket but that was several days ago. I know that Blizz GM's are busy, but I'm getting concerned that the evidence of my win (if there even is any), will be lost. Is this an issue for anyone else? The pug was one of those lfg cross-realm ones.. which might have had an impact. I'm wondering if I ported out of the instance too soon (I was getting some lag). I'm feeling a little frustrated by the delay. =(
