Stuttering Sound Issue (Windows 7)

Been looking for a solution for a while and going to attempt to save myself a little time and see if anyone is able to give me a hand with this. I am experiencing a lot of sound stuttering while WoW is running. The WoW sound itself is stuttering and choppy, as well as any background audio I am running. Skype, ventrilo, Zune, etc. Ventrilo's response time while WoW is running is extremely slow. I am using a Logitech G35 headset with the latest driver/software. It was working fine about a week and a half ago, but since then I have had this issue. I cannot remember changing anything between then and now, but it has become a very discouraging issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's my sound section from Dxdiag:

I am running Windows 7 32-bit OS.

Please let me know if any other information is relevant.

Thanks,

Kaegyn,

Try disabling/removing all the other apps you mentioned first. See if that clears it up for World of Warcraft. I know a lot of people are experiencing problems with Vent and Windows 7. You'd have to look on their support forums for help with that though.

Kaegyn,

I found another case where someone with Win7 was having a similar problem.

There are 2 commands that may help

Sound_EnableMode2 [0, 1]- Use just one at a time such as:

Sound_EnableMode2 0

or

Sound_EnableMode2 1

Also try this setting:

Sound_DSPBufferSize [0, 4-10]- Use just one at time such as:

SET Sound_DSPBufferSize 0

or

SET Sound_DSPBufferSize 4

You can set this with either a /console command (requires a client restart) or via the Config.wtf file.

It they don’t exist in the config file you need to add it.

/console Sound_EnableMixMode2 1 -in game

SET Sound_EnableMixMode2 “1” -config.wtf
