Account Restoration Offer

Grettings fellow Customer Service Forum goers. I recently submitted a ticket and email to blizz regarding this account having been compromised. I've had this account since right after release and never once, until reactivating after a 4 month hiatus and having to merge to battle.net, had a problem with account security. Before anybody asks, yes, I have ordered an authenticator and it's en route to me as I type this. At any rate, I logged in today and had received a number of in game mails, as well as an email with the following message in it:

"This e-mail is about World of Warcraft account *NAME* recently reported as being compromised. Please note Blizzard is receiving a large number of compromised reports and it is taking upwards of 10 or more days to investigate and restore these accounts. To help you get back into the game faster and enjoy the new Patch 3.3 content, we have a special proposal for you. We have already returned any missing characters and have provided your level 80 characters with the following:

• Most soulbound gear and weapons - an additional email will contain the actual items restored
• 2,500 gold for each level 80 - to offset any missing items and enable you to replace them
• 18 number of Emblem of Frost - to get you started with Patch 3.3 content
• 90 number of Emblem of Triumph - to make acquiring T9 or other items a bit easier

Please note if you use any of the gold or emblems we will be unable to provide any additional restorations for this account and will consider your issue resolved."

Now, I got sort of lucky in the original incident, as I was at my computer when it was happening, and as far as I can tell my info was only compromised for about 30 minutes. Only one character, this one, was involved. As I mentioned, this account had been inactive for several months, and he was only sitting on about 3.3k gold. All of my bags were emptied and sold off, these included a 22 slot bag and 3 20 slotters on my person, as well as 7 20 slotters for my bank.

Most of my stuff was returned, minus the 10 20 slot bags and my gold. The bags I can obtain cheaply so I'm not as concerned about that, and the 800g difference is an acceptable loss, as at this point I'm just happy to have the rest of my stuff back.

Now here's where the issue is. I've sent an email to [email protected], as well as submitted an in game ticket about this. I'm more than happy to accept this offer, however, I was only given the 90 emblem of triumph and 18 emblem of frost. I never received the 2500 gold.

My question for you folks is, other than what I've already done, is there anything else I should be doing to expedite the resolution of this issue so I can get out of the GM's hair considering how busy they are currently? Has anybody else had this problem and how did you handle it? I'm weary of responding to the email containing this offer as I don't want it to be misinterpreted as me declining the offer. Any blue replies are certainly appreciated as well.

Nemaides,

More work has been done on this, if you could check your emails at your convenience.

Thanks!
