I am very sorry for the lack of information thus far, folks. From what I've been able to determine our Realm Technicians are aware of this issue and have been working to resolve it.

I am trying to get an update or a possible ETA now.

It looks like they were able to make some changes in order to address the instance/dungeon finder issue. They will need to restart the realm in order for these changes to take affect though.

Countdown should be starting shortly.

Restarts have been engaged. I'll check back once the realm has come back online to see if LFG is working correctly.

Me too, Sataynia. I'm sure you understand, as I do, that when an issue occurs there is no magical read out that lets you know exactly what is wrong and how to resolve it.

I am confident that our Realm Technicians will continue to investigate the matter until the issue is resolved and all instances are accessible by those of you on the realm of Cenarius. I will, of course, provide what updates I can on this matter.

I'm afraid I don't have anything new at the moment, Arcticlight. As soon as I have any news though I will let you know.

I do know that it is unlikely that this is a software issue as all information that I have seen shows that it may be an issue with the hardware. I don't have specifics but that is what I am gathering thus far.

That is unlikely to happen, Deathfoil. We don't generally award characters with what they may have received. If you feel that such compensation is warranted you are welcome to post in the Suggestion forum, the Game Master department would not be able to make such a determination.

I'm sorry to say that I haven't received encouraging news thus far. Though our technicians continue to look into the issue in the hopes of resolving the issue it appears that this may require the restart of all instances across the entire Battlegroup. This, unfortunately, is unlikely to happen until later tonight/early this morning.

It isn't nearly that black and white, Kripticx. You must keep in mind that such restarts don't merely affect the time that the instances are offline. Taking instances offline that contain characters could cause a large number of stuck issues, there may also be issues due to a number of players running cross-instance heroics that they have already been locked into, plus the very likely issues caused when the instance shuts down before loot from a boss kill has been distributed. Not to mention a number of minor issues related to restarts of this nature.

Though in many cases restarting a realm or an aspect of the game such as the instances does serve to resolve many ills, it is not always an easy or clear task. We are not merely refraining from restarts at this time simply because it is only affecting one realm. I apologize if I gave the impression that this was the case.

I didn't say that it wouldn't or couldn't happen, Middnyte, but such compensation is not generally under the purview of the Game Master department. This is why I have repeatedly recommended posting in the Suggestion forum with that request, so it can be seen by those who can make that decision.

That may have simply been an oversight, Tempura. It seems that the issue was resolved and it may be that the person who provides Service Status updates at the time may have missed updating that thread.

I'll see if I can get someone to post and make it official.
