Well, I just faction changed and i have to admit being on the hordies is interesting. I am so used to killing Trolls and Orcs, now I'm defending them. but its fun, anyways...
.
When I was reading over the FaQ page for faction change, i seemed to have missed a very important section.
" **Please note that all titles relating to the Argent Tournament will be reset.** "
.
This was quite a shock to me when I logged in as a Belf and no longer had my "Crusader" Title, which i was oddly proud of and quite upset i lost. I acknowledge that it was my bad for not paying closer attention, but my issue is in understanding why.
.
I mean if faction chance sets rep to be
Human - Orc
Nelf - undead
blue goat - Belf
ETC. Then why doesn't the same formula apply to Argent crusade? Especially because in the "Crusader" position, no calculations are required, its just "/champion'd everything" I guess I cant be to upset as I have my tabard still and I have my mount, but I am saddened that I lost my vendor rites. I really don't think I will do them all again, (it got boring the first time) so, missing the single coolest (IMO) RP title in game, comes to me as a hard blow. But as I said, its my bad and I accept that.
.
Does anyone know why this is? Why is it set up this way, I mean what is more special about being a champ to the horde manually after a F-change then, say... being exalted with all horde factions AUTO after F-change.
.
Thank you for your wisdom and time in the subject.

Because all faction specific quests are reset. The Argent Tournament is mostly faction specific quests.

This is pretty much the case. It's a side effect of the translation tables used to transition a character from one faction to the other. We didn't necessarily intentionally make sure that people would lose the Crusader title. It is just a complication of the system's technology that results in resetting the tournament quests, as with all other faction-specific quests. All in all, there are advantages and disadvantages to this. For instance, a faction change allows additional opportunities to go back and quest in certain zones a second time if one would like a quick source of income beyond grinding daily quests, or if one simply seeks the opportunity to experience zone questing from the other faction's point of view.

On the bright side, at least you don't have to grind reputation anymore if you want your Crusader title and Argent Crusade vendor privileges back. You just need to go through the quest lines to champion each faction again.

You deleted my post. :(

I was just trying to be helpful & supportive of blizz!

Nothing was wrong with it. It was just in response to an unnecessary comment and didn't really make sense when I removed that context. ;)
