I have a toon who was successfully put through with the "congratz faction change under way" stuff. On the Transactions page I have it listed as pending. Its been that way much longer then my prior experiences. But unlike before i can still log the toon in without the error message i used to receive.

I apologize if you are experiencing any delay with your faction change request. I have checked your account, Rawr, as well as Coolcorpse’s, and I can confirm that both of the faction changes that you two requested earlier today are currently processing. Please continue to check back on the characters periodically to see if the faction change option appears on the character selection screen.

The amount of time that it takes for a faction change to process is largely dependent on the number of requests that service has recently received. If you see your character listed on the Transactions section of the Character Faction Change page, then please remain patient as your request is in line to be processed as soon as possible.

As for your situation, Suide, we do not collect funds for a service until after the change has been completed. You may temporarily see a pending charge on your statement for your previous request, but please rest assured that we would not collect those funds if the faction change was not completed successfully. Instead, you should normally see the extra charge fall off your statement within a few business days.

Q u o t e:
Do hour long coffee breaks have direct impacting results on tickets finalized? LOL ;P

While I guess that they probably would, I wouldn't know for certain as I do not get that luxury, Rawr.

Q u o t e:
Then why did the lady i talked to today say she would refund the charge? does that just mean she would cancel the pending charge?

perhaps i misunderstood, thanks for the reply!

There may have been a misunderstanding, Suide, as I can see that your previous request for a faction change was canceled, but a refund could not be processed as there was nothing to refund.

I strongly suspect this service is the same issue being reported in this thread....

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=21971448145&sid=1&pageNo=6

Here was my answer there - and I'd recommend the same for this issue.

-------------------

Ok folks, here the best recommendations I have at the moment.

Unfortunately, I cannot (nor can any Game Master) see as much of this system as Billing can.

What is being recommended for those that seem to have had a transaction hang for some hours, certainly those sitting at a day - try to cancel if you can and restart.

The pending charge issue could happen, but should clear itself like any other. If you are concerned that your available balance is an issue, giving Billing a call in the morning may be a better option for you.

Normally, these go through pretty fast - but transactions can occasionally hang. I wish I could give them a little kick in the britches for ya :)....but that I'm afraid is beyond my capabilities.

Here are the Billing contact numbers again if you need them.

Q u o t e:

thanks a bunch for posting, we really appreciate it.

quick question though, i called billing the first time this happened yesterday, and she said she couldnt do anything but cancel it, and refund me. is this wrong? i mean, is it possible for them to perhaps manually push it through or somthing?

Excellent question and the honest answer is I'm not entirely certain - since I don't have access to their systems.

I suspect it may have a lot to do with why a particular transaction has stalled as well.

From the ones we've been able to have spot-checked, it seems like canceling and restarting (at least at the moment) seems to be putting them back into the queue fine.
