Account Stolen, Character in Lockdown?

Hello-

My account was stolen about 5 days ago, I was able to recover the account the same day, but I found that the hacker had attempted to transfer my character, but that the transfer had failed due suspicious activity. The email said my character was locked down pending investigation. I undestand I am in a queue to be serviced, but I am wondering if since the character is in lock down, now that the account is back in my possession, can't your team simply unlock him? The character is Simuto, and was on the Uther server. If you check the armory now, you will see that he does not come up, which leads one to believe he is indeed "locked down." The character appears as my forum name still. Any info I can get into the time frame for not having a characters gear restored, but simply getting him unlocked. I am obviously concerned with the gear, but it sits funny knowing he is simply in "lock down"

I'm sorry that your account was compromised, but I am glad to hear that you're on the path to recovery.

It does not appear that your account is actually locked at this time though. Have you reviewed your registered email address? I believe that steps were taken to help ensure that your account is secure, and you should have more information available there.

I know that after he is unlocked, I still have to go through the restoration process for gear/gold. My question is, how long until he is unlocked? And since the account is back in my hands, and I have contacted Blizzard, shouldn't your team unlock him at this time?

Ah, that is a somewhat different matter. In a case like that, what you need to do is submit an unauthorized transfer dispute. Here's the appropriate web form:
