Known Issue: Region Account Selector for Alpha

Greetings Friends & Testers!

Initial invites for the Midnight Public Alpha have started to go out today, and we wanted to make you aware of a known issue that we’re working to resolve.
For now, when you go to install the alpha (Listed under “Midnight Alpha” game version) you may see a dropdown right below that with a list of accounts. If this selector defaulted to a PTR game account listed as (XX), you’re all set. If it shows your normal retail account, such as (US) or (EU), please select one of the PTR accounts instead.

Hello friends!

As an update, we have resolved this issue and the invalid account option should no longer appear on the Battle.net desktop app.

If you no longer see the Midnight Alpha dropdown available on the bnet app, you will likely need to restart it fully to pickup the fix.

When you launch the Alpha it might prompt you to pick a PTR account to use, we recommend just picking the lowest numbered one like WoW2 and continuing to use that every time you login.

Another follow-up here, unfortunately the change we made to fix this caused other issues, so we’ve had to revert that for now while we work on a more comprehensive fix. The joys of alphas! Thanks for rolling with the punches.
