Cross-server trade?

I joined a PUG for Forge of Souls, and, on the last boss, the Mord'Rethar Robes dropped. A character from a different server won the greed roll, but I asked him if I could take them and he traded them to me. After I left the party and teleported to Dalaran, the robes were gone. Can you not do this or something?

Q u o t e:

There is an issue currently affecting the cross-realm dungeons when one player wins an item roll and then trades that item to another player who is from another realm. Under these circumstances, when leaving the instance the item may appear to be lost for some players. We expect this issue to be resolved as soon as possible, but want to remind players that they will need to have space available in the original backpack for the item to be returned when the resolution is complete.

I'm guessing I can log off and still receive the loot?

Yes, we hope to have this issue resolved as soon as possible. Just make sure you have a spot in your inventory for the item.

just so you all know that if you do equip the item inside the instance it still will disappear... sniff sniff my new needle-encrusted scorpion did:(

Simply equipping an item inside the instance should not make the item seem to disappear. It must be traded from a player on another realm.
