Is there a way to place players on a list so I don't get grouped with them in a random pug?

As unlikely as it seems, I have gotten grouped with the same couple of players three times now. These guys are severe jerks that are using the anonymity of the random player system to basically grief the hell out of people.

I'm not whining about they system, I love it, it's just that for the third day in a row I've gotten looked out of a heroic after the first boss because of these same jerks and I want to know if there's a way I can not be grouped with them, other than r-quitting as soon as I see their names.

So ignoring somone will keep me from getting grouped with them?

Yes, and this is true also for players not on your realm.

I think there's a bug with Ignoring people while in cross realm instances, I was trying to ignore someone by targeting them and then typing /ignore, it didn't work. I had to wait after he ninjad stuff and said "so long suckers" so I could type /ignore, then click on his name so it would appear beside it, and press enter.

And no, I don't know how to write a 6 special letter name....

Hmmm

What if there's a person on your server with that same name who is NOT a jerk. Are they ignored too? How can it recognize that?

I haven't done it myself, but if they're not on your realm I believe you have to type "/ignore [charactername] - [servername]" as it is listed whenever their name pops up in your chat log.
Q u o t e:
Open your ignore list first, target the player in question, and hit the ignore button, it should automatically ignore them.

Or this if you're still in the dungeon with the player.
