Authenticator Code request... never had one

I was just in game and got kicked off twice. Now it's asking for an Authenticator Code number but i've never owned nor requested one.
I'm not able to access my battlenet account info either.
I was able to change my email account password just in case. And i checked that there are no emails from Blizzard about me getting an Authenticator.

I've never shared my account info nor posted it anywhere outside of WoW or battlenet.com.

The first time i got disconnected this morning it let me right in, the second time within 5 minutes it's asking for the authenticator... that doesn't seem like what i'd expect if my account is being hacked, sounds more like a technical issue.

Still, i sent in a request for support from blizzard/battlenet and hope to hear back soon. Anyone else experience this problem?

You're welcome to believe what you will, Darthleon, but I can assure you this is not the case. In fact, holding tight to this assumption will on further prevent you from identifying the true cause of the compromise -- a security lapse on your computer, registered e-mail address, or the computer of anyone else who may have your account information.
