UPDATE:

It appears that the remaining instance issues are restricted largely to the Halls of Reflection. Our staff have identified issues that can occur as this instance concludes, and they are currently working toward a resolution.

Once again, we would like to thank those who contributed information in an effort to help us isolate the issues affecting the realms.

Greetings!

We are aware that some players are currently experiencing issues accessing in-game instances. These systems are under tremendous pressure due to the enormous number of players logging in and using them simultaneously. We are also investigating in an effort to isolate other factors which may be contributing factors to the current conditions.

We realize that this can be frustrating, and we apologize for any frustration or inconvenience that this may cause. We will strive to provide updates and information as soon as they become available to us.

In the meantime, more detailed information may help us isolate potential contributing factors. If you would like to help us compile this information, please create a post with the following information:

If your character happens to be stuck, this issue may cease when any associated instance issues are resolved. While we're unable to resolve such issues via the forum, you can also submit an in-game petition from a different character on the same account, and a member of our staff will do their utmost to help as swiftly as possible!

When you submit such a petition, it's best to keep the following points in mind:
    • Always use the ‘Character Stuck’ button when you submit this kind of petition.
    • Include the word 'stuck' in your petition.
    • Include the name and realm of the stuck character.
    • Include where your character was before they got stuck
    • Mention whether you are stuck at the loading screen, are unable to remain in-game, are trapped on terrain, are unable to find your body, or fell ‘through the world’

Q u o t e:
How is this thread going to help anything? I sat with my alt for two hours online with zero response from my in-game petition.

Why is it okay to tell us to do these things, and give zero estimation on time to resolution? I'd rather be told 'come back tomorrow, we simply don't know what's wrong, we'll give you an extended day of play time'? How is that so hard to do?

Sometimes a thread like this can help us identify patterns that may not be so obvious via other reporting formats. This was my hope for this thread and I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed information!

Petition wait times are likely to be high during periods of high volume =(. I sincerely regret the wait. Please do not close your petition though, since if you leave it open, our staff will still be able to respond even if you are offline at the time.

Sometimes an ETA simply isn't available, and I apologize if that provokes any anxiety. It would be a poor idea for us to throw our hands in the air and simply say 'come back tomorrow' when that may not be the most efficient course for those waiting to play =(.

I hope you can bear with us as we continue to work to restore stability to the instances.

Q u o t e:
So how do we LOG OUT our characters?

I'm on an alt and I keep whispering my main to see if it's gone afk, but it hasn't. I was hoping it would so that in 30-40 minutes, it would be forced to log out. But as it seems, my character is stuck 24/7

So... How do we LOG OUT our chars?!

You may submit an in-game petition to report your stuck character, Timothy. We have Game Masters on the look out for these issue and they are working as fast as they can to move players who may be stuck. Please follow the advice in the very first post in this thread.

Q u o t e:
this is just a stall tactic ....but you all dont even read em

Actually, we usually don't ask for specific information, we could have simply stated that this issue is being looked into and that we'll provide updates what we can. The information we are asking for may assist our Technicians in resolving these issue though.

Do keep submitting petitions folks.

I am terribly sorry for this inconvenience.

We are getting to everyone just as quickly as we can, remember - having the keyword 'stuck' in your petition helps us find you faster.

Q u o t e:

Should we also submit ingame tickets as well on our alt characters? Would that speed up the process? Or will this thread on the forums suffice? :)

TY Blizz Blues!

If your character is stuck, then please do submit an in-game petition, yes. Unfortunately, we're unable to field such requests from the forum, but our staff are working to free all stuck players as soon as possible.
