Anyone else have this problem, they accept the quest for The Battered Hilt but then the item disappears?

Hey there, Balsted.

If you abandon the quest and pick it up once more, you will you be provided a new [Tainted Quel'Delar] which should then allow you to complete the objective one more. :)

If you go back a step that hilt should be returned to you from the questgiver.
