Greetings all,

The ongoing authentication issues look to be resolved.

The majority of the realms are currently online and the rest should be made live soon.

Our Realm Technicians continue to monitor the situation though and will work to resolve any additional issues that may occur. If you are experiencing further trouble logging in to any specific realm please let us know.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

You are attempting to use your Battle.net account name and password, Lalais?

Do you get a particular error message?

I can launch browser but when i click play nothing happens, it just goes back to my desktop. Any ideas why??

Are you using Windows 7 or Vista? Did you run the Launcher.exe program as the administrator?

You may want to visit our Technical Support forum if you continue to experience an issue launching the game but give that a try if you haven't and see if that works.

Okay Blizz, I did it your way. I went to http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=21723692153&sid=1 and followed the directions there (yes, as an administrator), and downloaded everything it said that I needed to.

I am still having the same problem. I cannot get to the log-in page after I click play. I am frustrated.

Little help, please?

If you are still having the issue, Ianna, you'll need to post in the Technical Support forum as this is a technical issue.

I can log just fine onto my computer, using either launcher.exe or wow.exe. However, my laptop is giving me launcher trouble. I hit 'play' on the launcher, using my battle.net account and password, and it quits without an error message. On my laptop, I am using Windows XP, am the administrator, and jumped through all the hoops in http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=21723692153&sid=1.

I attempted to run WoW, on my laptop, by launching wow.exe and got the following error: "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Reinstalling WoW seems a little extreme; is there anything I can do to fix this problem before resorting to that?

This would be a technical issue, Octale, and not one that the Game Master department would be able to assist you with. You will need to look in the Technical Support forum for further assistance.

So, instead of sugesting people go to a different forum. How about a little help in this forum?

I am experiencing a realm and login issue, and it would be helpful if I could receive a little help please.
Why does my realm list keep popping up and not allowing me to log into any realm?

I wouldn't know, Moonfall, that would be a technical issue that the Technical Support department is more apt to assist you with.

Instead of insisting that I help you with a Technical issue how about taking the advice I am giving you.

Do you normally call up an electrician and demand that he fixes your sink?

Thank you, I will try there. I'm just saying that this thread must be in the wrong area then, because I was already directed here from the customer support forum.

This is the Customer Support forum. O.o

Do I have to change to a battle.net account to log in? ive been gone for 8 months

If you are just returning, Roadsdk, you'll need to merge your account into a Battle.net account to be able to access the game. If you do not already have a Battle.net account you'll need to create one.

http://us.battle.net/

You can then merge your World of Warcraft into it.

More information can be found in the following thread.

I'm sorry for the confusion, Zondar, it looks like your World of Warcraft has not be merged into a Battle.net account. That is why you are unable to log in.

Please follow Mourninglory's instructions.
