I keep getting kicked out of bg as being reported AFK when I AM NOT AFK. This has happened to me several times with different characters. Since I spend most of my time doing bg, this is really impacting me. Can any player just report me AFK now and I have no recourse? The last time it happened was just after I finshed giving group buffs and providing a refreshment table then BANG -- got a message saying I was reported AFK and got kicked out. I tried typing /afk clear but it made no difference. What's going on????

You aren't being reported AFK, Ndisla - those are tricks played by players using the /em command to create custom emotes =(. If you type /afk, it will mark you ask AFK, remove you from the instance as a result, and apply the deserter debuff. You can report the players that create such messages via an in-game petition. Should you do so, please include the name and realm of the offending player, as well as a brief description of events.

If you had actually be reported afk by other players, an initial debuff would have been applied which you could then remove via PvP contact. You are only actually removed from a battle by this reporting feature after the requisite debuffs are applied, you fail to clear them, and the necessary time period passes.

If you should happen to see other players exploiting the battleground system and the efforts of their fellow players by remaining away from keyboard, though, please do report them via the right-click Report AFK feature! Every report helps!
