Mutilate and Quel'Delar

Why is it that Mutilate Rogues are the only DPS spec in the entire game that have absolutely no use for the new Quel'Delar?

I understand Rogues in general can use swords and maces, but many of our attacks require daggers to function.

I understand you guys made it available as a mace because not all classes can use swords. But not all specs use swords either. If you can make a mace version for priests and shamans, why not a dagger for rogues?

I also understand there are no tanking versions of the weapon (Unless you tank with a DPS weapon like DKs or Druids). However, Mutilate is a DPS spec, not a tanking spec.

Mutilate Rogues were unfairly singled out with the new 5 man instance/heroic last time until the Black Knight's Rondel was later added. Please consider adding a dagger to this as well.

We shouldn't be the only DPS spec in the game with no use for this item that is supposed to be for DPSers.

Shadowmourne also discriminates against Mutilate.

These kinds of posts have been going on for months now. Our reply is always some variant of how it isn't our design that every quest offers a reward that is tailor-made for your spec and class. Typically if you have your choice of one of four items, you're lucky.

I made my admittedly sarcastic comment about Shadowmourne for a reason: it's not usable or useful to a lot of players. For some reason players have the expectation that QD is supposed to be usable by everyone.

Q u o t e:
I suppose the thing that angered me the most about this was the past ordeal with H ToC dropping a weapon for everyone but Mut Rogues in combination with this current situation.

ToC was tough to itemize because there were only 5 bosses. If each one drops one of say 30 possible items, then it ends up feeling like a slot machine (Hi, Toravon). The good news is that Icecrown has a decent number of bosses, though sadly not 31.
