Blizz hates me? Drop rate issues

I have just completed my 18th run of Heroic Trial of the Champion on my 18th attempt at getting either Edge of Ruin or Marrowstrike. After running the same instance 18 times and still not even seeing either of them drop, it would be suffice to say I'm plain fed up with this rubbish.

I've encountered this exact same problem in two other instances, where I ran them both over a dozen times each and after never even seeing what I was going in for drop, I gave up. I have been stuck for almost a month, unable to progress due to my dps being severely crippled by my rubbish weapon.

I don't pay my monthly subscription to down the same 3 bosses over and over and over and over and over again and I refuse to believe that this is just some unfortunate coincidence. The way I see it, blizz either owes me a wep, or should refund me 18 days of gameplay. I'm about one more "I've come to finish my task" away from rage quitting wow.

If a GM could explain why Blizzard seems to have such a severe bias against me, I'd greatly appreciate it because there is absolutely noway in an instance that drops two two-handers can neither of them drop, 18 times in a row.

As others have demonstrated, with the unnecessary Turtlecide of my colleague, Buckers, is that a particular boss has a % chance to drop a particular item. If an item has a 10% chance to drop then it has a 10% chance each time the boss is kill. It does not mean that with 10 kills of a particular boss that it will drop once. It could drop 10 times or zero. Each kill has a 10% chance to see the item.
Q u o t e:

The axe has a 20% drop rate and the polearm has a 40% drop rate.

I'm not certain where you are getting your numbers, Buckers, and I will be unable to provide you with accurate ones but you may want to look at certain popular 3rd party sites which tend to track items and their assumed drop rates. They put their rate around 11-13%.

I can assure you that the Polearm does not have anywhere near a 40% drop rate.
