Hello,

A friend of mine has unfortunately had his WoW account compromised. As far as I know, the recommended method of retrieving a hacked account is to email [email protected]. Unfortunately, the the email account his Battle.net account was tied to has also been compromised, and that email address is no longer available to him. What is his best course of action? Would he have any luck emailing them from another email address?

If they no longer have access to the registered e-mail address, Agraan, my recommendation is to contact our Billing and Account Services department. They may be able to help him update his contact information and regain access to his account.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) 8AM-8PM (PST) for live representation.

Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.

Once he does that he'll be able to log in and check his characters for missing items/gold. He can report any damage he finds via an in-game petition.

Make sure he checks his system for keyloggers or other malicious programs.
