Q u o t e:
Hi.
I'm trying to upgrade my account, but every time I submit my credit card information an error 202 appears.
The odd thing is that the credit card number is the same one I'm using to pay the monthly fees, so obvious there's nothing wrong with it. I tried other credit cards numbers with no success.
This only happens with the direct upgrade, I can change the form of payment of my monthly fee with no error showing up.
I already sent a message to the Billing folks, but didn't get a reply yet. I'm hoping someone can offer a solution, and one that does not involve calling them(the cost of calling from my country would be too expensive).
Thanks.
I'm sorry if this has been confusing or inconvenient for you at all, but contacting our Account Services staff would be the way to go, though you may want to confirm that all your account information is up to date, since that can be the cause of this error message. Also, I know you want to avoid it, and it can be a bit tough to get through, but a telephone call will probably yield better results than an email since there may need to be some back and forth question and answer. Have you considered making use of a free voice over IP service to make the call? That can help save a ton of money on long distance charges.
"Error 202" usually indicates that the provided payment method is incompatible in some way with the selected online purchasing system. This doesn't mean that the payment method is invalid or in poor standing. Rather, it's just a sign that something isn't syncing up with the online transaction.
Hopefully our staff can lend a hand, and here's that contact information for your convenience.
