As your fellow posters have noted, Ananke, we are actually hiring (though we are not currently accepting any new applications)—and have been hiring consistently for about the last 4 years. If you know anyone that may be interested in a Game Master position, please have him or her check back with our Career Opportunities site for updates: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/careers/

I know our Irvine office removed its posting within the last month, but I do believe Austin is still open. I'll confirm for surety. :)

Seems like management has decided that 3 day wait times are....working as intended.

They're presently around 18 hours, actually. And even that is not "working as intended," I promise.

That's perfectly fine, Kalvas. No worries. :)

But it looks like someone higher up has decided that Blizzard does not need to hire any more GMs.

It's not as black-and-white as you make it, Xanna. While the job postings may not currently be available, it does not necessarily mean that we are through growing. We'll continue to staff to meet the needs of our players, and we have several applications on hand that we can pull candidates from. Under no circumstances are we saying that we do not need to hire any more Game Masters—we are simply removing these job postings from the web site temporarily while we explore this issue further.

I'll amend my first post in this thread to avoid any confusion, however. :)
