So what's after Cat?

I know it's putting the cart before the horse, but what is left after Cat is released? Will this be the last expansion?

I always find it interesting that in our world (the gamer world) time and age have different meanings. It's like "dog years". We're conditioned to wonder "what's next" anytime a game comes out and wonder at the continuation of things we love. We're celebrating our five-year anniversary of World of Warcraft and what to most things (five years) is nothing. In the MMO world, that's pretty incredible in game years and a tribute as much to the community as it is to the developers.

That said, we're not going anywhere. We'll be here developing for the game as long as we feel there is something more to say or see or explore. We have no current plans to end things with Cataclysm and for some, it could be seen as a renewal. You could say the world will be bathed in the fires of upheaval and chaos, and reborn out of the continuing efforts of the denizens of Azeroth both.

Let's focus on what's in front of us now such as the Lich King and then onto Cataclysm. After that, who knows? We'll talk about "what's next" when the time is right. :) But, thank you, truly, for being so interested and invested.

The Candle homeworld is next!

Let's not go there. It's a silly place.

That's an even sillier place.

And yes, dogs generally follow cats. (Don't read too much into that!)
