My brother got the message that he was banned when he logged in on his brand new wow account(he bought the game for 5$ from blizzard). Since we only have one computer and i have a WOTLK account/ game he did not use the digital download. Why would blizzard ban his account when he barely played on it?

The only thing i could think of is that they some how saw that wotlk was installed and his account does not own it, but that's kinda dumb because we cant install the regular wow over top of my wotlk wow... And since his account does not own it he cant use the content...

PS: We do not share accounts or use hacks or exploit or pirate anything in any way. And he already sent an email to blizzard like the game told him to do. I am just trying to figure out why such a thing would happen....

Lucky, the proper avenue to appeal any sort of sanction is Account Administration. They can be reached at wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com.

Without a character name/realm on the account it is impossible for me to do any research on this - but that said, even with that information I'm very limited on what I may be able to tell you on this since it's not your account.

I'd be happy to take a look if you supply an character name/realm on the account though.
