Change subscription

I'm probably not looking in the right place for this, so apologies if this is an obvious question... I want to change my subscription from 3-month recurring to 6-month recurring, but I don't see how to do it without also adding a new credit card in the process... Is there a way to change plans without having to enter a new credit card?

Last I knew, you need to cancel your current subscription (which really only cancels payment type), and then enter the new information in.

While there may have been some minor changes with the advent of Battle.net, as far as I am aware, this process has remained the same.
