Every body knows "Soon", and in my oppinion "Soon" is a great answer as long as its said. It seems lately we aren't even getting that. I'd like to see alot more information comming from Blizzard.

Tell us what your working on, what's working, what's not, what you have done and are excited to see implemented. You don't have to give us time tables, but atleast give us some insight as to what's going on.

What do you think?

The number of iterations that features go through before they become public is quite high, which is why we don't share things until they have hit a place we are fairly happy with. Seeing unfinished features tends to lead to tons of questions and possibly confusion among the community which we like to avoid.

There is lots of information we share on what is going on, we just won't do it until we have something hammered out in a form that we are happy about (that's when we are excited to see it implemented). When the PTR for 3.3 first came out there wasn't exactly a lot of new features in the first build, but as time went on pages like http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/3p3/index.xml were able to be created with what we have been working on and what is working well for the game. There are also times when things get removed from the PTR - see the quest tracking system that was available for the 3.2 PTR - but was something that wasn't working as we wanted it to so it got pulled.

Players always want more information, it's something very few people would ever feel they have too much of, but it does take time to work on updates and we will continue to share information when possible - there just won't be daily updates.

The problem i have is actually the word "soon". Soon is quite vague as it can be used in the sense of days months years. It is too vague for imo. My issue was last night zarhym teases everyone like it could or could not drop tommorrow with several posts then finally after several pages an 30 minutes later says it won't drop tommorrow. I don't think that's a very good way for someone who works for Blizzard to treat its customers. I also realize that i might get torn up by a few people for saying this because they don't understand that Blizzard is a business and needs to treat its customers with alittle more respect than what i felt was given last night. Just say it isn't dropping tommorrow so we can go about our business like he did the 2 weeks prior to last night.

I'm not going to be putting words into anybody's mouth, but things like that happen when players know we don't give out release dates but continually ask for them. Yes, the word "soon" is vague but we tend to use it when we know things are starting to come together but we don't give out release dates. If you don't like taking part in the shenanigans that can come up in release date type of threads you may want to avoid them in the future.

But if i avoid them i feel left out :(

Well, this choice is entirely up to you then. Just know that release dates aren't going to happen and if you are the type of person that aims to clear your schedule for patch day, it's a rough road to travel. :)
