Received an email from Blizzard Entertainment ([email protected])
subject: Come Back to Azeroth with 7 Days of FREE Game Time‏

Q u o t e:
World of Warcraft is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and we’re inviting you back to Azeroth to take part in the festivities. Your account has been selected to receive 7 days of FREE game time - simply click below to claim your time and rejoin the adventure.

To click or not to click? I'm 99% sure it's a scam because Blizzard has never offered me anything for free.

We do have a promotion of this nature at the moment for certain inactive accounts, Lost.

It ALWAYS pays to be cautious with emails.

Open the header of that - if you double-verify that did indeed come from [email protected] it's legit.

I'll never make a blanket statement without seeing the email in question because links and return mail addresses are far too easy to spoof. Always check your internal headers and the destination of any links to verify it's not a clever look-a-like.

Thanks!

Hovering over the link gives a addy which starts with http://email.blizzard.com/ and has a buncha random code after which is likely account specific - I reckon that's legit then, wow! Thank you very much for the speedy reply :)

:)

Most welcome! Enjoy!
