I respect you and as a long time player of MMO's dating back to UO and Day 1 Everquest, I understand your job position at Blizzard. Your job is not easy and takes a very strong person to keep a level head while dealing with a gaming community as large as World of Warcraft's. I have read all your posts in the past , and although I do not always agree with you, I want to make my point clear that I do give you respect which you have earned.

I feel as if you should apologize to the community for comments you have made recently regarding old world title acquisition. And if not you, at least someone with some juice.

Rather than posting a drive-by of quotation's of your posts, I wish to only focus on one.

Q u o t e:
"This is all being considered as we develop the rated Battleground system and appreciate those who are voicing their opinions in a constructive manner, straying from hyperbole and assumptions. "

Hyperbole and Assumptions

So now that you see you are also dealing with a clear and level headed person, I want you to take what I am about to say in a constructive way. I mean nothing personal by it but we have a problem here and you need to be aware of it before any of the discussion on Titles continues.

Your opinions towards the structure of the old pvp system should never have come out in any of your posts. Hiding behind the word "we" does not cut it in this situation. It wasnt just one post either, it was multiple. Now I can sit here and break down why it was you felt the need to say what you did, but that would be me getting personal with you and this should stay within the boundaries of the game.

Unless your name is in shiny blue letters with the following letters, "Furor Planedefiler " you have no right to speak to us the way you have done so. Your assumptions and "hyperbole" usage were uncalled for, yet you require us to stray away from them when trying to propose valid arguments. This makes no sense.

We don't know you as a player... only a Community Manager for Blizzard. You are not Alex. Furthermore you have only been here for under 2 years. I am sure you played the game before that, but never on a level that the players you have talked down to have played. You essentially used the power of the blue post to voice your personal opinions and take multiple shots at our nuts because your game experience was obviously compromised at some-point during your wow career. The way you worded your posts is very disturbing. There were a plethora of ways you could have gone about it while still getting your point across.

If you honestly can sit here and tell all these people that their opinions matter and can possibly effect the outcome of this situation, I feel you should clarify your post and set an example for those who really do care. Be the guy who really stepped up for once and tried to help the community. Don't be so vague and leave out the bull@!@!. Convince people you are really and truthfully trying to gather the information needed so you can present it to those who make the final decisions in this game.

Now is your time to shine and be a legend amongst the community. I still don't think you understand how serious this situation is, but hopefully you can take a step back for a second and see it both from a professional business standpoint as well as a players.

Make all this go away, do the right thing and lets get back on topic. Think about when you are done working for Blizzard and what your resume will read if you decide to let people know that their achievements gained under your old pvp system will remain something special. If we end up being able to keep them unobtainable, use a new titling system and you are smart, you will see how you can work this in as a selling point to a future employer within the gaming industry. You know that box everyone talks about and being able to think outside of it?

Use the box, Zarhym.

For the record, I will voice my opinion on this situation and say it is probably the dumbest thing I have ever witnessed in this game next to the removal of attunements. This decision being contemplated has nothing to do with class balance or the better good of the game/company..

it's personal now and this is why I am pissed.
