New payment method?

I went down through the email scam stickie and couldn't find anything matching my situation. However I didn't want to jump to conclusions just yet.

I received an email stating my account was about to run out. This part is accurate since I chose to pay by time cards this year instead of credit.

The second part of the one paragraph however mentioned other payment methods, such as paying by pay pal or having it billed to my phone bill?!?

I could understand pay pal, but why would my Blizzard account bill me on my phone bill? And which type, land line or cell?

The email has a link supposedly going to Battle.net. I chose to ignore their link and went to Battle.net myself. I couldn't find anything there indicating the alternate payment methods indicated, however the email was accurate on the date my current game card expires.

I'm sort of asking if the email's a fraud and hence should be reported, as well as if anyone has heard of alternate payment methods being available?

I believe Giresse has already provide you a link to our PaymentOne FAQ, but I'll go ahead and provide it again to make it a hyperlink: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=21531

To view your different payment options, you can begin by visiting your Battle.net Account Management page (https://us.battle.net/account/management/index.xml?) and then clicking on the WoW account which you wish to manage. Under "License Information" for the account, to the right side of the box, you'll see a list of various hyperlinks, the top of which reads "Change Payment Method." This will bring up the "Subscription Options" page; in the first box, various credit card types are listed, as well as PayPal and PaymentOne.

You can visit the "Subscription Options" page directly by going here: https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/payment-method.html?

If you've multiple WoW accounts merged with your Battle.net account, you'll need to select which WoW you wish to manage before continuing.

Was this the header of the email in question?

If so, the email is indeed legitimate, as I'm seeing a copy of it on my end, as well. :)
