Neither the author who delivered this message nor the site to which you were directed belong to Blizzard Entertainment. The author was not a Blizzard employee and the site was not official. This particular scam is unfortunately fairly common. =/
If you visited the site in question and entered any login information, I would encourage you to take some time now to make sure that your computer and account are secure. The easiest way is to follow these steps:
1) Scan your system for possible malware with the WoW launcher open. Some scanning software recommendations may be found here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=1778038509&sid=1
2) Once these scans have completed, or from a computer you know to be secure, set up a new email address and change your current Battle.net address to that. Ensure that the username and password for this new address do not overlap with any you've used online before. Once registered, keep this address isolated.
3) Change your Battle.net account password after the scans have completed and your new email is registered.
Should you ever receive a message like this again, simply right-click the author's name and select the "Report Spam" option. This will bring the author's account and its actions to our immediate attention, and will also place all characters on the author's account on ignore. Here's also a helpful article describing what contact from our in-game staff will look like (to help you tell official communication from possible scams apart):
