No, no.

This is a REAL person.

Kat Richardson. She's a fairly new author. She writes, VERY well I might add, Urban Fantasy.

Very cool. :)

Very true... Very true...

How was your weekend?

It was pretty good. Went to the midnight show to watch buff werewolves and sparkly vampires glare at each other. Dakota Fanning was amazing as usual. The Tween audience was amazingly entertaining. :D

I fished up my Mr. Pinchy!

Though I felt truly uninspired and didn't make anything more complicated than a sandwich all weekend. O.o

Edit: I can feel you staring Thunderwulf. :P Yes, I said it, I went to see the movie. I'm eclectic when it comes to my likes and forgiving when it comes to my movies. :D

Way to kill the OT thread, Vrak.
*shakes head*

Dakota Fanning did do a great job, though, I would have to agree.

To turn the conversation back to my intial post "back". What does everyone think of Stargate: Universe? It's got promise, but so far it's no SG-1 or Atlantis.

I absolutely love the series actually. It doesn't have the same quirky humour as SG-1 or even Atlantis but I don't think it was intended to.

Hello, Eloinus! Nice to see you again.

Hey Vrak. I'm still no the fence about it. I do agree it is completely different than the original two, and it has far more in common with BSG, a show that wasn't really my cup of tea. I understood the benefit it had for Sci-fi, just wasn't my type.

See and I absolutely loved Battlestar.

With this one I think the situation is the enemy (i.e. the bad guy). The ship is both haven and hell as it seems to be falling apart yet still holds undiscovered wonders and is keeping a hope alive that they may be able to get home. The quest to go home is all encompassing for many yet, at what cost? Who is actually there to help and who is there to hinder?

Will the fears of the crew be their own undoing?

You also have the motivations of those back on Earth.

I enjoy the what if's. What if you put a group of people in this situation? What would happen? Do you rise above and become more then you were or do you allow your fears to overwhelm you and cloud your actions?

The only problem I have is I want more episodes now! :D

What is with that anyway? I mean, Jack seemed like a complete... You know... during that episode where Young was "relieved" of command.

Yeah, I don't know. I think there is a lot going on that we aren't aware of yet. Like why was Greer in the Brig, why is Telford so "I am here, I'll tell you what to do because obviously no one has been doing anything right since I haven't been telling them what to do". I've never wanted to smack Lou Diamond Phillips before I saw this character.
