Q u o t e:
Like the 3 mechanical things that drop engineering parts?
Q u o t e:
Come on Z, the 1st blue post on the topic for 6 weeks, and that's all we get?
Has there been any discussion about the simple fact that enchanters have no way to opt out of being DE bots for the group?
Throw us a bone, here!
Please?
Q u o t e:
For the love of god, just make this happen already to stop the QQ.
Q u o t e:
Incorrect. No one NEEDS enchants. If they want to perform at a higher level, the enchants will assist them in that goal. Guilds can use proper enchants as a prerequisite to joining but that doesn't mean a player NEEDS them to play the game. If the player wants to do these things, that's a choice they have to make but at no point is the game unplayable if you don't have gear enchanted. If this were the case, most of the players currently raiding would have never done so since they most likely weren't putting top-end enchants on every new piece of gear they gained, yet they got to 80 just fine without them.

Well, I agree with you, and my own enchanter has no problem with the changes at all. I suppose that there's never been any outcry regarding cloth because *everyone* can learn first aid... and I'd guess a majority do, even healing classes.
Incidentally, I keep wanting to bring this up, but don't because I'm not sure if I'm not remembering correctly, but...
Prior to WotLK, there were often locked chests in instances. Obviously to get at the contents of these chests you either needed a rogue, BS with keys or engineer with explosives. But what I seem to recall was that once the chest was open, if there were any greens or blues in them, the group was presented with a roll window to roll on the item. Am I remembering that wrong? And if I am not, I don't ever recall rogues/blacksmiths/engineers being outraged over that dynamic either.
