That is asking for an authentication code. If you didn't add an authenticator to your account - then someone else did, and that indicates a compromise.

I'd start first by giving our Biling Department a call. They will have slightly shorter hours on Thanksgiving Day, but will return to normal hours on Friday.

Now, it's very very important to figure out where the security breach occurred. If they CAN get back in, they WILL be back. That, unfortunately, you can count on.

These two stickies should prove helpful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will keep anyone else out of your WoW account.

damnit, blizz can u remove this authenticator plx, without me having to get up at unholy hours just to make a call to yas

I'm afraid not, if it were that simple it would greatly impact the usefulness of the authenticator itself.

Not impossible for the true account holder to do under these circumstances, but we cannot make it too easy or the very people an authenticator keeps out would still use that method to get in.

Does that make sense?

yeh it makes sense but still anyone can ring up blizz and complain about this. is there some form i can fill out to get it removed how exaclty can i get it remove w/e using the phone? or is it impossible cos im not gunna waste my time ringing up when someone else can still pretend to be me

They will try their best to confirm your identity by phone. Forms may be necessary, but we won't do that unless it's absolutely necessary. Again, I know this is frustrating, but it's for your protection.

there is litterally no way this can be secure even face to face, may as well go and give my unlocked account to some random on the street

We have very good success with our methods.

Now, if you are NOT the genuine account holder, yeah - there may be an issue proving you are - which is kinda the point, no?

Also, if you add an authenticator yourself, not only will it prevent future compromises, it will also keep anyone else from slapping one on there. Fantastic little gizmo.

the number is just to redirect u to blizzard, but still 8am to 8pm hours, otherwise id call em, my point is that anyone can steal your account if they have ur details & make sure noone else can get it back, this is pointless.... ima have to face the fact im not getting my account back

You certainly have a defeatist attitude here.

Yes, the service times are based on the Pacific Time Zone.

We help folks with this all the time, to be so positive that we cannot help your case really makes me think this account may not have been originally yours. Yes, that would be neigh impossible to recover if that is the case.
